"Front Porch Fotos"
I have been a photographer for most of the last 20 years and while I have come to love photographing many genres, I am most drawn to photographing people unscripted. I carry this approach even in my portrait sessions because I find the best images are created when you allow your subject to simply reveal themselves.
Currently, we are in the midst of an unprecedented event and as we are all preparing to hunker down, I wanted to take this opportunity to photo-
document my experiences and your experiences (unscripted), by offering complimentary sessions for families and individuals. I'm calling this the "Front Porch Foto Project" (inspired by a fellow photog in WI). These sessions will be short 10-15 minutes and I'll be using my zoom lens (so we can maintain appropriate 'social distancing' per CDC guidelines). I'll be photographing you on your front porch or through front windows, however you are most comfortable. Afterwards, you'll receive 2 or 3 digital files that you can share, print, and remember. There is no cost to you.
All I ask in return, is to be able to use the images for my website and on social media platforms as it helps me grow and expand my portfolio.
PARTICIPATING IN THE PROJECT:
If you would like to take part in
this project, simply head to my contact me page and fill out the form. Write 'FPF' in the subject line and jot down any questions you might have. Feel free to share your experience thus far with this crisis, your challenges, triumphs, whatever you would like to share. I'll contact you via email initially with available appointment times and to provide a model release. Session times will be limited to Saturday and Sunday and will be on a first come first served basis. I'll be keeping this fairly local to the Charlotte NC area.
(The photos above are of my daughter and granddaughter. I simply love that everyday is an occasion to dress-up and put on a pair of wings. I had no idea she was going to be wearing wings when I showed up to do this shoot).
